She began her journey from Arizona to meet Tommy, Ch Bayleigh Shaireab's Pinball Wizard, in TN, then off to Atlanta for a couple of months to live with her first Mom, Sharon, returning to Knoxville for the whelping of the litter of 5 and now back to Atlanta to raise her babies.

The Easter bunny arrived early. Check out the Lucy(International Ch Lucy of the Southern Point) and Bogie, Ch Bayleigh Shaireab's Play It Again Sam, baby girls. It has been a long time since we have had a litter of one sex. What a surprise! Lucy is visiting from the Netherlands with us for an extended stay. Her sire, Rick, International Ch Heartbreaker of the Southern Point, lived with us for over a year. My wonderful pet sitter, Ania (who will be graduating from the University of TN School of Veterinary Medicine within a year) picked up Lucy in Amsterdam as she was returning from Christmas vacation in Poland. Lucy's breeder and co owner, Mat Smeets, has had Bogie for 2 years. Mat will be exhibiting one of his Bogie puppies at Crufts Dog Show this year.

Amy, Mya's mom, with Mya the day she brought her to my house to whelp the puppies. Mya, like almost all of our finished champions, lives the life of a queen with her mom. After our dogs complete their show career, we place them in companion homes where they live the "life of Riley" as opposed to being a kennel dog with many other dogs. We appreciate and thank all of our very special homes. These families help Sharon and I continue in our beloved hobby of breeding, exhibiting and loving each of our special Welshies.

If you check in on our website you have probably noticed very little news or activity in over a year. I have been undergoing a year of medical treatments and simply haven't been able to keep you posted. Everything, thanks to Sharon, her dear husband Bob and other friends and family members, has continued on. We had several litters last year and a very successful Montgomery County weekend. A Spyder son, Ch Shaireab's Celyn I Kid You Not (Josh), was Best of Breed winner at Westminster this year. Another Spyder son was Best of Breed winner at the National Specialty and AKC Eukanuba dog show. Spyder, Ch Bayleigh Shaireab's Super Hero, now has a new co owner, Marilyn Jacobs of Foxbriar Kennels of CA. Spyder is now being handled by Marilyn's handler, Jorge and Susie Olivera of Phoenix, AZ. Spyder is the #1 Welsh Terrier in the country. So far, Jorge and Spyder have won 5 all breed Best in Shows and 2 Best in Specialty Shows in 2010.

We are off to dog shows in CA this week. Will keep you posted.
